Voice search optimization is the process of optimizing your website for voice searches. This essentially means preparing your pages for the way people speak rather than how they type.

What Does Voice Search Optimization Mean for Digital Marketing Practices?

In many ways, voice search optimization is completely changing the digital marketing landscape. It’s also changing how content marketing is used in digital marketing efforts.

This means that businesses have to adjust their SEO strategies based on the way voice searches work. For instance, one obvious and correct assumption is that voice searches tend to carry a more conversational tone; therefore, the content on your business’s website needs to be conversational as well.

Moreover, statistics show that a lot of voice search queries are for local services and products, i.e., “near me” queries. So businesses need to focus on local SEO while optimizing for voice search.
